Data is protected in accordance with legal regulations. We inform you below about how, to what extent, and for what purposes we process personal data when you use the E.T.O. website and our online services (hereinafter "Website" / "Online Offer").



Basic information on data processing

The E.T.O. collects, processes and uses personal data of the users only in compliance with relevant data protection regulations. The data of the users are only used if a legal permit or consent exists.

The E.T.O. takes organizational, contractual and technical security measures
according to the state of the art, to ensure that the regulations of data protection laws are respected and in order, thereby to protect the data managed by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or access by unauthorized persons.



Object of data protection


The subject of data protection is personal data. The data is personal if it can be assigned to a specific or identifiable person. This is information, for example, such as name, address, e-mail address, and telephone number.



General information on the processing (collection, use, and retention period) of personal data

The use of our website is usually possible without providing personal information. You
are neither obliged to access this website nor to provide any personal data.
If you do not provide us with personal data, you may be able to use some of the functions of this website. In this case, there are no consequences for you.

When personal data is compiled from our side (for example name, address, or e-mail
addresses), this is always done on a voluntary basis except in the cases described here.
These data will not be disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent.

The personal data of the users will be used for the execution of our services.

We make every effort to protect your personal information by taking all reasonable technical possibilities and organizational measures, so that they are not accessible to third parties. When we use communication via email complete data security cannot be guaranteed, therefore we recommend the postal route for confidential information.

The personal data will be deleted when they are no longer required or the deletion does not conflict with statutory retention requirements.



Access data and data processing to enable website use

When you visit our website, we collect the technically necessary data to enable you to access the relevant use (usage data). This includes your IP address and data such as name of the retrieved file, date and time of start and end, and the object of the retrieval, the amount of transferred data, any message about successful retrieval, browser type and version, the operating system of the user, referrer URL (the previously visited page) and the requesting provider.
These data cannot and will not be assigned to specific persons by the E.T.O. and will also not be combined with data from other data sources of the E.T.O.
Should you log in to a secure area, data for identification (for example, your login data) could be compiled.
These data serve the provision and the needs-based design of the service. Our policy determines that they will be deleted as soon as they are no longer needed and as long as no retention requirements consist.

Automated decision making including profiling, direct mail, and miscellaneous data processing in the public interest

There is no automated decision-making, in particular no personal profiling.
Similarly, there is no data processing for the purpose of direct mail or for scientific or historical research purposes, or for statistical purposes in the public interest.


Cookies

When you visit our website, it may be that information in the form of a cookie is placed on your computer. Cookies are small text files sent by a web server to your browser and then saved on your computer's hard drive. This makes it possible to recognize you when you visit the website again.
With it we can ensure better functionality of the pages and (e.g.) perform web analytics.

Most browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. You can disable the storage of cookies in your browser and have the ability of deleting the cookies at any time from your hard drive. We would like to point out that the use of our offers/services on the website may be limited without cookies. Contact form, membership application form and e-mail contact

On our website a contact form and a membership application form are available which enables you to contact us via an electronic format.
In these cases, the data entered in the input masks are transmitted and stored. These data are : name and e-mail address.
At the time of sending the message, the following data is also stored : The IP address
of the user, and date and time of registration. Alternatively, contact via the provided e-mail address is possible. In this case, the personal data of the user submitted with the e-mail is stored.
In this context, the data is not passed on to third parties. The data will be used exclusively for processing the conversation. In case of contact by e-mail, this is also required in respect of the legitimate interest in the processing of the data. The processing of other personal data from the input mask during the sending process is used solely for the processing of the request of contact to the E.T.O by the user and to prevent misuse of the contact/membership form, as well as ensuring the security of our information technology systems.
The data will be deleted as soon as the needed and desired purpose of its collection has ended. This is the case when the respective conversation with the user has ended. The conversation ends when it can be seen from the circumstances that the facts of the case are finally clarified.

 
Opposition/Objection

The user has the option at any time to withdraw his/her consent to the processing of personal data. If the user contacts us by e-mail, he/she may withdraw his/her consent for the storage of his/her personal data at any time. In such a case, the conversation will not continue. All personally identifiable information stored in the course of making the contact will be deleted in this case.


Your rights as an individual regarding personal data.

Confirmation, information, correction, supplement

You have the right, at any time and at no cost, to receive confirmation and information about the personal data stored about you as well as a copy of this information, and to request the immediate correction of your incorrect personal data.

You also have the right, in consideration of the purpose of the processing, to request completion of incomplete personal data - also by means of a supplementary statement.


Deletion, revocation, opposition, notification of third parties

Unless the processing is required, you have the right that personal data concerning you will be deleted immediately, provided that they are no longer necessary for the purposes to which they were collected or otherwise processed; furthermore, if you revoke your consent on which the processing was based and therefore the legal basis for the processing is removed, or you object to the processing and there are no legitimate grounds for processing, or, in the case that you object to direct mailing or profiling processing; or your personal data was processed unlawfully; or if we are required to fulfill a legal obligation under EU or national law to delete the personal data, or personal data is that of a child, the data is deleted.

Where the personal data has been made public by us and where we are required to excecute the deletion of personal data, allowing for consideration of the technology available and the implementation costs, we will take appropriate measures, including technical ones, to inform other persons responsible for data processing/data controllers and those who are processing the published personal data, so that they are aware that you requested from these other responsible data controllers the deletion of any links to such personal information or of copies or replications of personal data, unless processing of these data is required.


Restriction / blocking

You have the right to demand a delay in processing of data, if you dispute the accuracy of the personal data, for a period that allows us to verify the accuracy of personal data; if the processing is illegal and you refuse the deletion of personal data and instead demand the restriction of the use of the personal data; if we no longer need the use of the personal data for the purpose of the processing, but do need the data to assert, or exercise legal rights, or in the defence of legal claims; or if you have written to us to file your opposition to the processing, and it may not be clear yet whether our legitimate reasons outweigh yours.


Transmission

You have the right to receive the personal information concerning you to be provided in a structured, common and machine-readable format.
You also have the right to have the data which you provided to us, transmitted by us to other responsible persons without hindrance, provided that the processing of your consent is based on a contract and the processing uses automated procedures, provided that the processing is not necessary for the performance/execution of a task in the public interest or in the exercise of public authority, which has been transferred to the person responsible. As far as technically feasible and if not infringing the rights and freedoms of other persons, you have the right to require that the personal data is transmitted directly from us to another person in charge.


Revocation of an exisitng consent

You have the right to have your consent to the processing of personal data revoked at any time, as far as there are no tax or commercial legal obligations for us to keep records that prevent this.



Ojection if there is a legal permit

You have the right to object to us processing your personal data under permission granted to us as a legal permission. We will no longer process your personal data if you have stated your opposition, unless we can provide compelling legitimate reasons for the processing, which outweigh the interests, rights, and freedoms of the person concerned, or the processing is intended to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims.


Complaint to the supervisory authority

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial legal remedy, you have the right to complain to a (data protection) supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your place of residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement, if you believe that there is an infringement in respect of the processing of your personal data.
